About Me Moreo's Story

Hey, I’m Coach Moreo — a former college football player, Army veteran, Occupational Safety and Health Specialist, and now… a guy in his late 40s getting back in shape and sharing the journey.

At 26, I was in top form. Years of athletics and military training had me dialed in — strong, disciplined, and intentional about everything I put in my body. I lived in the gym. I was consistent, focused, and proud of what I saw in the mirror.

Then life shifted.

I got out of the Army. I focused on my career. I started a family. And like a lot of people, I slowly drifted away from the things that kept me sharp. The workouts got shorter… then skipped. My meals became more about convenience than fuel. Before I knew it, by my late 30s, I had the classic “dad bod.” I wasn’t out of control — but I wasn’t where I wanted to be either. Something was missing.

Now at 47, I’m making my comeback — not to rewind the clock, but to feel strong, healthy, and confident in the body I live in today. Let's be clear, I’m not trying to be 26 again 😉. I’m trying to be the best version of 47.

This time around, it's not about chasing perfection. It’s about sustainability — staying consistent, eating with intention, moving with purpose, and building habits that actually work for a busy life.

That’s what led me to create OptimalFitHub — a space for real people like you and me who want to take control of their health again without gimmicks, guilt, or guesswork.

I bring a mix of experience to the table: athletic background, military mindset, and a strong foundation in health and safety with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Occupational Safety and Health. I’m also working on becoming a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM, because I want to coach others the right way — with both science and real-life experience behind it.

Everything I share here is something I’ve used, tested, or truly believe in. You won’t find hype or shortcuts — just practical strategies, honest advice, and tools that fit into your life, not the other way around.

If you're over 35, short on time, but serious about feeling better, moving more, and reclaiming your health — you're in the right place.

Let’s do this together — one smart, sustainable step at a time.

Age 26 – All in, peak shape, zero kids.

Age 37 – Life in full swing, fitness took a back seat. "Dad Bod".

Age 47 – Today. On the path back, more focused than ever.
